We informed you earlier that Bajaj will introduce the new generation Pulsar range in the country in the next few months. The company will first launch a new 250cc Pulsar range, which is likely to include 3 bikes – NS250, 250F and the RS250. A new video reveals two new Pulsar 250cc motorcycles on test.
The new motorcycles were fully camouflaged, but it is visible that there’s a naked and half-faired version. The naked version will be called the Pulsar NS250, while the semi-faired model is likely to be called the Pulsar 250F. If reports are to be believed, the new gen Bajaj Pulsar 250 will be launched during festive season – around October-November 2021.
The video shows that the camouflaged versions were caught doing high speeds on the highway. These new motorcycles can be seen doing speeds in excess of 130kmphs, and the bikes seem doing it easily. Specifications and other mechanical details of the new motorcycles are yet to be revealed.
The bikes are expected to be powered by a new 250cc engine, which could be derived from the KTM 250 bikes. It is likely to produce close to 25bhp of power and 20Nm of torque.
The new Bajaj Pulsar NS250 will be positioned against the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ25. The new semi-faired motorcycle, the Bajaj Pulsar 250F gets a wider headlamp with a projector lens. It is likely to get full LED lighting system.
The motorcycle is likely to get a semi-digital instrument console, disc brakes and a single-channel ABS system. For suspension duties, the motorcycle will get telescopic front forks and a Nitrox-charged monoshock at the rear.
It is expected that the new Pulsar 250 range will be based on an all-new platform. The new Bajaj Pulsar 250F motorcycle is likely to replace the 220F, which is currently one of the highest-selling model in its category. The 220F is priced at Rs 1.32 lakh; expect new Pulsar 250F to cost somewhere around 1.40 lakh.
