2021 Jeep Compass facelift Spied With Sharper Looks

American automaker, Jeep will launch the updated Compass SUV in India in early 2021. The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has been spotted testing in Spain. The spotted model was covered in a thick cloth; revealing design details. It will come with revised headlamps, grille and tail-lamps.

The pictures reveal that the Jeep Compass facelift will have thinner headlamps that merge with the newly styled, thinner grille. At the back, the SUV gets new tail-lamps with new inserts. The trunk lid design likely to remain the same, while the bumper design is likely to be revised. The SUV is also likely to receive newly styled alloy wheels. The report claims that the spotted model was the plug-in hybrid variant 4xe. This version is powered by a 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine with electric motor. It is capable of producing up to 240bhp and offers efficiency up to 47.6kmpl. The SUV can run up to 50km on electric mode.

The Brazilian spec model will receive the new 1.3L turboflex engine, which is likely to produce around 180bhp and 270Nm of torque. The engine could use the current 6-speed or 9-speed automatic gearbox or an all-new CVT. The Jeep Compass facelift is rumoured to be equipped with an all-digital instrument console, and a new 10-inch vertically-stacked touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and 360 degree camera.

The India-spec Compass facelift is expected to receive the new 1.3L direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine with engine start-stop system. This engine is capable of producing 180bhp of power and 285Nm of torque. The current model is available with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The diesel version will continue to offer the 2.0L turbocharged engine producing 170bhp and 350Nm.
