2021 Hyundai Kona Debuts With Major Changes, N-Line Variant

Korean automaker, Hyundai had introduced the Kona nameplate globally in June 2017. This SUV was widely praised for its funky looks, modern features and practical interior. Hyundai has now released the updated 2021 Hyundai Kona, which has new exterior design, revised interior and new powertrain options. Adding to it, the company has also revealed the new N-Line package to the Kona.

In terms of styling changes, the 2021 Hyundai Kona received major changes to the front and rear fascias. It retains the split headlamp set-up, but the design of the headlamp and DRLs have been changed. The SUV gets a new front grille, new air-intakes and replaced Hyundai logo. At the back, the 2021 Hyundai Kona gets new tail-light graphics, updated lighting elements and revised bumper.

2021 Hyundai Kona N-Line Specs

The 2021 Hyundai Kona N-Line Package is now available on the entire engine lineup. The N-Line Package comprises of wider air-intakes, body-coloured wheel arches, a prominent rear diffuser, a dual-tip exhaust and others. This model rides on uniquely designed 18-inch wheels. There are three nostrils right above the grille on the leading edge of the bonnet. This element further enhances the sportier appearance of the funky-looking SUV. Customers opting for the N-Line with the 1.6L turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive system will receive “specific steering tuning.”

2021 Hyundai Kona Unveil

The 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine is capable of producing 198bhp of power and is only available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The company is also offering both the 138bhp, 1.6-litre diesel and 120bhp, 1.0-litre gasoline engines with 48-volt hybrid tech. The diesel engine can be paired with either a seven-speed DCT and six-speed MT, and AWD.

2021 Hyundai Kona Interior

Inside the cabin, the 2021 Hyundai Kona gets revised dashboard and central console design. The SUV gets electronic parking brake, a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument console and a new optional 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The company hasn’t introduced the performance-oriented full-blown Kona N. The new Hyundai Kona and Kona N-Line Package will be launched in the European markets by the end of 2020.
