All-New Royal Enfield Classic 350 – Better Styling, New Engine & Platform

We have informed you earlier that Royal Enfield is all set to give a generation change to its popular 350cc motorcycles including Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Thunderbird 350 X. While the new-generation Thunderbird 350 X is ready to hit roads as Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in the last week of September 2020, the new-generation Classic 350 and Bullet 350 might come by the end of this year or early next year. Talking about the all-new Royal Enfield Classic 350, the bike will witness a few noticeable cosmetic changes and feature upgrades.

The latest spy picture reveals that the new RE Classic 350 will carry newly-designed fuel tank and alloy wheels. The taillamp and exhaust system will also be revised. Design bits such as retro-styled blinkers, round headlamps and chrome-plated rear view mirrors will be carried over from the current generation.

Major changes will be made to its underpinning and engine. The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 will ditch the existing UCE (Unit Construction Engine) platform for a new architecture. In fact, the next-generation model will be powered by a new 350cc engine that’s likely to be more refined than the existing 19.8bhp, 346cc motor. The new engine will have the SOHC (Single Over Head Camshaft) setup. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed gearbox. Read – Upcoming New Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser Motorcycle Spied

The new RE Classic 350 will also receive a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer. The bike’s new-generation model will be made available with a range of accessories including crash guard, a pillion backrest, saddlebags and wind deflector. The braking and suspensions setup are likely to be carried over from the current model. At present, the model has the conventional telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

More details of the new-generation RE Classic 350 are likely to be revealed in coming months. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
