Hyundai had revealed the facelifted i30 N Line wagon version with a new 1.5L turbo engine in February, 2020. The company is now set to introduce the most powerful iteration of the i30 range. Hyundai has officially released a new teaser of the 2021 Hyundai i30 N.
In terms of styling, the 2021 Hyundai i30 N facelift looks identical to the pre-facelift version; however, there are few changes to keep things fresh. The hot hatch gets new bumper and a new more aggressive central grille. At the back, the hatchback gets more prominent diffuser with two integrated large exhaust pipes. The company has also confirmed that the new i30 N will receive newly developed eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox with “dedicated N performance shifting functions.” It will be the brand’s first model to get new gearbox for the European markets. This engine gearbox combination is expected to be offered in other performance Hyundais in the near future.
The company hasn’t revealed the engine specifications of the i30 N, but it is likely to get the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine churns out a maximum power output 250bhp, while the Performance Pack will enhance the power to the respectable 275bhp. It is expected that the new engine gearbox combination will improve the 0-100kmph acceleration.
