2021 Hyundai Tucson Looks Stunning In New Avatar

The much-awaited 2021 Hyundai Tucson has finally been unveiled. The new model is available in long-wheelbase variant as well as in short-wheelbase variant. The new model will be launched in the USA and other global markets in the first half of 2021.

The 2021 Hyundai Tucson will be offered in both hybrid and plug-in hybrid variant for the first time. The company is also readying the N-Line variant, which will join the line-up at a later stage. The company said that the new Tucson reveals the evolved version of Sensuous Sportiness design theme. 

The front grille has unique triangular texture that’s mirrored right to left. The headlamps are integrated into the grille opening, using LED elements that hide into the front end when not illuminated. The side profile has bulging fenders and a long, jagged character line that merges with the rear profile. The angular wheel arches with black plastic cladding, relatively flat roof in contrasting black shade, and chrome trim above the window completes the side profile.

The most striking elements in the 2021 Hyundai Tucson is a set of blade-line tail-lamps. There is a full-width LED bar that connects the quad taillights, which further broke down to form triangular elements. The lower bumper has unique diamond texture and a faux skid plate. The rear window wiper is placed under the roof spoiler, while the Hyundai badge is placed on the window glass.

Unlike the unconventional exterior, the interior of the 2021 Hyundai Tucson is less aggressive and more like other Hyundai cars. It features a uniquely styled steering wheel with multiple buttons. There are two strips of silver trim surround both the driver and front passenger spaces, giving the cabin a twin-cockpit appearance. The top of the dashboard is flat, while the lower part is carved-in to give airy and open feel.

The 2021 Hyundai Tucson gets a different and modern digital instrument console. It features a dual-screen infotainment system that has a 10.3-inch display for climate control and other functions. The standard infotainment system has an 8-inch screen, and it also supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and two-device Bluetooth connectivity. There are no physical buttons on offer on the dashboard, except for the engine start/stop. The new model also has air quality monitoring system that keeps track of pollution levels using a fine-dust sensor. It also tracks interior air quality and purifies the cabin.

The 2021 Hyundai Tucson will be powered by a 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 190bhp and 260Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.The hybrid version will receive a 1.6-litre turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine with an electric powertrain. This powertrain offers 230bhp and 350Nm of torque. This model will use CVT gearbox.
