Engine setup of the new Hyundai Creta is exactly similar to the Kia Seltos. The SUV comes with three BS6-compliant motors – a 115hp, 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and a 115hp, 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel. The naturally-aspirated petrol unit is available with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox. The turbo-petrol motor is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
In terms of fuel economy, the new Creta offers higher ARAI mileage than the Seltos, thanks to its slightly lower kerb weight and taller gearing. The 1.5L petrol MT and CVT deliver a claimed mileage of 16.8kmpl and 17.1kmpl respectively. The turbo-petrol DCT returns 16.8kmpl and the 1.5L diesel MT and AT promise 21.4kmpl and 18.3kmpl respectively. Read – Hyundai N-Line Performance Brand Coming To India
