2021 Honda Amaze Facelift – Here’s What To Expect!

Japanese automaker, Honda has officially announced to launch the new 2021 Honda Amaze facelift on August 18, 2021. The company has also released the first teaser of the sub-4 meter sedan. Interested buyers can pre-book the Amaze facelift at dealerships for Rs 21,000. Customers can also book the sedan online by paying a token amount of Rs 5,000.

2021 Honda Amaze Top Changes

The updated Amaze has already started reaching the dealerships. A fresh set of images have hit the web world, which shows some design changes. The design changes are minimal in nature, as the overall profile remain unchanged. It gets newly styled alloy wheels, which looks identical to the one offered in the 4th generation City sedan.

The higher-spec variants of the 2021 Honda Amaze will be equipped with full-LED headlamps and tail-lamps along with LED fog lamps. The vehicle will also get new colour options. The sedan also gets a revised front grille, which now has horizontal slats along with the chrome bar that accommodates Honda logo. In fact, the fog lamp assembly has also been changed and now has chrome lining. Expect minor changes in the rear profile as well.

Inside the cabin, the Amaze facelift is likely to retain the existing design layout. It is expected to get an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity along with connected car tech, new upholstery and new colour trim. Most of the features are likely to be sourced from the existing model. It will continue to offer features such as a 7-inch MID, multi-functional steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat, automatic AC, reverse camera, keyless GO with push button start, cruise control and others.

2021 Honda Amaze Bookings Open

The current model is priced between 6.34 lakh and Rs 11.12 lakh. Expect new model to cost around Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 more than the existing Amaze. The 2021 Honda Amaze will rival the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire and the Tata Tigor.

The 2021 Honda Amaze facelift is not likely to receive any changes under the hood, and is likely to share the engine-gearbox options with the current car. The petrol version will get the 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The oil burner is a 1.5-litre unit that is good for 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. With CVT gearbox, the diesel engine power and torque drops to 80bhp and 160Nm.
