The base variant of the Kia Carnival, called the Premium comes with a special benefits package. Interested buyers can avail a special gratification benefit of up to Rs 3.75 lakh on the premium trim. With this special scheme, the base variant of the Carnival MPV price down to Rs 21.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
The gratification benefit on the Carnival includes a cash discount of Rs 2.50 lakh. The company is also offering benefits worth Rs 1.25 lakh, which includes extended warranty packages, annual maintenance and others. Interestingly, customers can also opt to avail the entire Rs 3.75 lakh benefit as cash discount. However, this will eliminate the other benefits.
The Kia Carnival Prestige and Limousine trims are offered with cash discount worth Rs 2.50 lakh. However, Kia India is not giving any additional gratification benefits on these variants. At Rs 21.20 lakh, the Kia Carnival Premium 7-seater automatic variant is cheaper than the mid-level VX manual variant of the Toyota Innova Crysta.
Kia is also offering a unique ‘Satisfaction Guarantee Scheme‘ on the Carnival MPV. This scheme will allow new Kia Carnival customers to return their MPV to Kia if they are not satisfied with it. Kia India will take back the Carnival MPV if the customer is not happy with it within 30 days of its purchase. Adding to it, the company will return 95% of the ex-showroom cost and overhead costs incurred for the registration and finances of the vehicle.
Launched at the 2020 Auto Expo, the Kia Carnival is available in three variants – Premium, Prestige and Limousine – priced between Rs 24.95 lakh and Rs 33.95 lakh. The SUV is offered in 3 seating options – 7-seat, 8-seat and 9-seat. The MPV is powered by a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 200bhp of power and 440Nm of torque. It is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The 7-seater version of the Kia Carnival gets the standard captain seats for the middle row and the optional ‘Luxury VIP’ seats with individual leg rests. While the 8-seater model comes with four captain seats, the 9-seater version has 6 captain seats.
