BMW has officially released the pictures of the production-ready 2021 BMW G310 GS Adventure motorcycle. The facelifted BMW G310 GS has been officially rolled off the production line. It is manufactured at TVS Motor Company’s production plant in Hosur. The company will also introduce the 2021 G310R naked motorcycle in the near future.
Scheduled to be launched on October 8, 2020, the new 2021 BMW G310 GS will take on the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and the RE Himalayan. The motorcycle’s design remains largely identical to the previous model; though, it receives some changes to keep things fresh in the market.
The new model gets metallic titanium grey engine housing covers for the clutch, water pump and the alternator. It features the polar white paint scheme with grey finish on the tank side panels, while the frame is painted in red. The tank centre cover and front comes in Kyanit blue metallic. The motorcycle features Pirelli-Rosso II tyres; however, the production model won’t receive these tyres.
The 2021 BMW G310 GS will be powered by a 313cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with dual-overhead camshafts and eFI (Electronic Fuel Injection). This engine is capable of producing 34bhp of power at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm. There is an ‘electronic throttle grip’ (electromotive throttle controller) for improved throttle response. The cylinder head is rotated by 180 degrees with front intake.
Design elements include a large windscreen, high front fender and bigger grab handle for the pillion. The motorcycle gets self-boosting anti-hopping clutch, which reduces engine drag torque and enhances safety. The motorcycle gets full LED headlamp and LED flashing turn indicators. The company will also introduce a new special edition of 2021 BMW G310 GS, which is called 40 Years GS Edition.
