Mahindra & Mahindra celebrated its 75th Anniversary with the launch of the second-generation Thar off-road SUV. The new Mahindra Thar 2020 has been made available in AX and LX series and hard top, soft top and convertible body styles. Priced at Rs 9.80 lakh, the AX petrol with 6-seats configuration and soft top is the most affordable variant of the new Mahindra Thar 2020.
While the AX Std comes equipped with the 16-inch steel wheels, the AX petrol and AX diesel 6-seater with soft top models get bigger 18-inch alloy wheels shod with 255/65 R18 tyres. The top-end LX diesel automatic with 4-seats layout and hard top has been offered at Rs 13.75 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
The carmaker says that the SUV took ‘a quantum leap in terms of performance, everyday comfort & convenience, technology and safety”. 2020 Mahindra Thar Booking Amount
Official bookings of the new Thar have been opened with its launch on 2nd October, 2020. Buyers can book it by either logging on https://auto.mahindra.com/buy/book-online?mgc=THRN or visiting any authorized Mahindra dealership. One has to pay a pre-booking amount of Rs 21,000. The carmaker is offering multiple variants, colour options and accessories with the new-generation Thar.
New Mahindra Thar 2020 Deliveries
The carmaker has confirmed that deliveries of the new Thar will commence a month after – i.e. from 1st November, 2020.
2020 Mahindra Thar Test Drives
Test drives of the next-generation Thar will be done in a phased manner. In the first phase that starts from 2nd October, the SUV will be available for test drive across 18 cities. It includes Mumbai/Thane/Navi Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Ludhiana, Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata, Calicut, Thrissur, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Goa, Chandigarh and Nashik. The 2nd phase will begin from 10th October, and it will include another 100 cities. The remaining cities will be covered after the 2nd phase.
