2020 BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS BS6 Launching On 8th October

BMW Motorrad has confirmed that it will launch the BS6-compliant G 310 R and G310 GS on coming 8th October in India. Prices will be announced during a virtual launch event. As a part of its Bullet plan, the bikemaker has announced a new EMI scheme wherein customers can buy these motorcycles for an EMI of Rs 4,500. Furthermore, customers will also get pre-approved loans at attractive rate of interests before the launch of the models.

The biggest change will be made to their engines. The 2020 BMW G 310 R and G310 GS will come with the BS6-compliant 313cc, single-cylinder engine matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The power and torque figures of the updated motor are yet to be revealed by the company. Its BS4 version was good enough for 34PS and 28Nm. The suspension and braking systems are likely to remain unchanged.

Besides an updated engine, the motorcycles will receive subtle cosmetic changes. The latest teaser picture confirms that the new model will have Orange highlights on the frame and alloy wheels and golden finish on front suspension. The full LED lighting and bigger plastic panels around the fuel tank will add more to its refreshing looks. The BS6 BMW G 310 GS will carry new full LED headlamp and LED turn signals with smoked casing. It will also get sharper fuel tank shrouds, new cladding with faux intakes, updated exhaust design and features such as colour TFT display and ride-by-wire technology with slipper clutch.
