Bajaj Auto is ready to launch the much-awaited new Bajaj Pulsar 250 on October 28, 2021. The model lineup is likely to come in two versions – naked and semi-faired – featuring significant design changes and mechanical updates. Reports suggest that the new Pulsar 250 will have a new engine platform boosted with the VVA (variable valve actuation) technology. The VVA system not only improves low and mid-range performance, but enhances fuel economy as well. It’s likely to come with a new 249cc, single-cylinder, oil/air-cooled engine delivering power close to 24bhp and 20Nm of torque.
The bike will be equipped with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. For performing suspension duties, it will have the telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock with swingarm at the rear. Interestingly, the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 250 will be the first non-LS/NS Pulsar to feature the monoshock unit. The bike will feature single disc front and rear brakes with the standard dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
The new-generation Pulsar is likely to come with a fully digital instrumentation with Bluetooth connectivity. A few more new features could be on offer. The spy images reveal that the bike will carry a more aggressive front fascia. Its naked version might take design inspiration from Bajaj’s NS bikes. It will feature a larger flyscreen, larger and raised front cowl and slightly higher handlebars. The front fairing will be merging with the tank shrouds.
Other key design highlights will include front fender, rear view mirrors mounted on the front apron, crash guard, split seat, grab rails, rear tyre hugger, twin barrel exhaust canister and rear LED taillamp. Its wheels could be similar to the existing NS//RS models. More details on the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 250 will be revealed on its launch day. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
