The new 2021 Audi Q5 facelift has been launched in India today. The model lineup comes in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology – priced at Rs 58.93 lakh and Rs 63.77 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, India.
Bookings for the vehicle have already been commenced online and via Audi dealership network. Interested buyers can place an order with an initial payment pf Rs 2 lakh. Just so you know, the Q5 was discontinued with the implementation of BS6 emission norms.
For power, the new 2021 Audi Q5 uses the 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that also does duty in the A6. Though, the TFSI motor has been calibrated to deliver a maximum power of 249bhp and 370Nm of torque. Compared to the A6, the new Q5 is around 4bhp more powerful. Minimal changes have been made to its interior. The new Audi Q5 facelift gets a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the old 8.3-inch unit. Called the Audi’s new MIB 3 (Modular Infotainment Toolkit), the system is claimed to be much faster than its previous generation.
Features such as Virtual cockpit plus, wireless charger, automatic climate control, a B&O premium D sound system, Audi’s park assist and new piano black inserts are exclusively offered on the Technology trim. The updated model offers protection of 8 airbags along with the ABS with EBD and traction control.
A few cosmetic upgrades make the new 2021 Audi Q5 look more refreshing than before. At the front end, the model carries a bigger and wider hexagonal grille with vertical chrome strips. The headlamps have also been revised with a new LED light signature. It also gets updated front bumper and side intakes.
The new Q5 has been assembled with larger 19-inch S-design alloy wheels. The rear section receives updated bumper and newly-designed LED taillamps, which are connected via a brushed aluminium strip.
