Audi Q9 3-Row SUV Spied Showing Massive Body

German automaker, Audi believes that there is a room for a bigger and more spacious SUV under its popular Q series. The unprecedented Audi Q9 SUV has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring. As the name suggest, the new model will sit above the Q7 and the Q8.

The spotted model was wrapped in heavy camouflage and body cladding to hide the design. The front is dominated by a massive grille, flanked by smaller and sharper headlamps. The profile view reveals the large size SUV. The front is aggressive, and the overall profile has a boxy shape.

The SUV has flat roof; however, the production-ready model is likely to offer more sculpted design to keep the design of luxury model appealing. There is a spoiler at the rear that covers the upper area of the rear glass. The lower body and bumper has sculpted elements that gives it a sporty appeal.

Going by the size, it is visible that the new Audi Q9 SUV will be a 3-row SUV. The company could offer the new SUV in multiple seating layout. Audi could follow the Mercedes-Maybach GLS and the Land Rover Range Rover SV, which offers two-row layout with major focus on massive legroom and shoulder space for rear occupants.

The engine options for the new Audi Q9 are still to be revealed. It is expected that the new model would come with hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines to achieve new emission norms. The new model is expected to make global debut in 2022. It is likely to be launched in China and the United States.
