Launched on 30th September 2019, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has now completed its first year in the Indian market. On this occasion, the carmaker has announced that the mini SUV attains its first anniversary of ‘Living it up’ with over 75,000 customers. It holds over 9 per cent market share in the A2-segment. Maruti Suzuki’s mini SUV has been built on the Heartect platform that also underpins the WagonR, Swift and Dzire. Suzuki’s new architecture provides structural rigidity and meets the new crash test norms. It also makes the vehicle lighter and aids to its fuel efficiency.
The overall length, width and height of the Maruti S-Presso stand at 3,565mm, 1,520mm and 1,564mm respectively. The Std and LXi variants are 15mm shorter than other models, thanks to their 13-inch wheels. The model sits on a 2,380mm long wheelbase and has a ground clearance of 180mm. At the heart of the Maruti Suzuki S-presso is the BS6-compliant 1.0-litre K10B petrol engine that can be had either with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The motor pushes out a peak power of 68bhp and 90N of torque. While the lower variants deliver an ARAI-certified mileage of 21.4kmpl, the higher VXi and VXi+ variants (MT and AMT) return 21.7kmpl.
Some of its key features include halogen headlights, a slim grille with angular chrome elements, LED DRLs, a high bonnet line, black front and rear bumper, body cladding along the sides, all-black theme (with orange bits on the top-spec trim), a touchscreen infotainment system, ABS, seat-belt reminders, a driver-side airbag, rear parking sensors, a digital speedometer and a speed alert system and more.
