Hyundai i20 is set to witness a generation change next week. The premium hatchback’s all-new model is slated to hit showrooms on 5th November, 2020. The 2020 Hyundai i20 will be offered with three engines and five gearbox options. The engine setup will include a 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol (83bhp/113Nm), 1.0L turbo petrol (100bhp/172Nm) and 1.5L diesel (100bhp/240Nm). While the 1.2L petrol motor will come with the 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearboxes, the 1.0L turbo petrol unit will be available with the 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT automatic transmission options. The diesel engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
As per the leaked information, the 2020 Hyundai i20 diesel will deliver fuel economy of 25kmpl. The turbo petrol will return 20kmpl and 20.28kmpl with iMT and DCT gearboxes respectively. The 1.2L petrol manual will promise fuel efficiency of 21kmpl and its CVT version will offer 19.65kmpl.
