Mahindra & Mahindra introduced the heavily-updated TUV300 as Bolero Neo in July 2021. Now, the company is testing its longer version that was recently caught on camera that seems to be in its final phase. Called the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus, the SUV will be offered in two seating configurations – 7 and 9-seats. The 7-seater layout will be available in three trims – P4, P10 and P10 (R).
The Bolero Neo Plus is 400mm longer than the Bolero Neo, but its wheelbase remains unchanged (i.e. 2,680mm). Its overall length, width and height stand at 4400mm, 1795mm and 1812mm respectively.
The latest spy images show its front and rear profile featuring a newly-designed mesh grille with vertical chrome slats, a trapezoidal air dam, a rear tailgate mounted spare wheel and wraparound taillamps. You can notice black appliques on its side profile. The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus 7-seater version will have bench-type seat in the third row and the 9-seater model will come with jump seats. The model lineup will also include an ambulance variant with 4-seats layout and a patient bed.
Powering the new Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus will be a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine offering power worth 94bhp in Economy mode and 120bhp in Power mode. The SUV can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Bolero Neo Plus is expected to cost around Rs 1 lakh premium than its younger sibling. The Mahindra Bolero Neo is currently available within the price range of Rs 9.5 lakh – Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
Recently, the Pune-based SUV market showcased the Mahindra XUV400 Formula Edition with a special livery inspired by the racing spirit. The model has been designed and co-developed by Mahindra Formula E and Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) studio in the UK.
