2 Tata Cars Ready For Updates – Launch Timeline & Details

With the aim of strengthening its market presence, Tata Motors has outlined plans for multiple new models across various segments in the next couple of years. The strategy encompasses facelifts, special editions, all-new SUVs, and EVs. Last year, the carmaker updated the Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier, and Safari SUVs, with the Altroz facelift scheduled for 2024. Additionally, Tata has confirmed the Punch facelift for 2025. Let’s explore key details of the upcoming facelifted Tata cars.

Tata Altroz Facelift

Tata Altroz Petrol

The Tata Altroz hatchback, launched in 2019, is set for a mid-life update. The refreshed model is expected to feature minimal cosmetic changes and several new features, including a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a full TFT instrument cluster. Notable highlights include wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and six airbags. The design changes are likely to be inspired by Tata’s latest car designs. This year, Tata will introduce the Altroz Racer Edition, a sportier version of the hatchback designed to rival the Hyundai i20 N Line. The model will be equipped with Tata’s new 125bhp, 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol engine, also featured in the Curvv SUV coupe. The launch of the Tata Altroz EV is confirmed for 2025.

Tata Punch Facelift

2024 Tata Punch Facelift

The Tata Punch facelift is expected to adopt the brand’s new design language seen in the updated Nexon, Harrier, and Safari SUVs. The micro SUV is likely to undergo significant design changes at the front end, including a slightly revised grille, bumper, and sleeker DRLs. To enhance its value proposition, the carmaker may introduce a variety of new features with the updated model. No significant changes are anticipated under the hood, with the new Punch continuing to use the 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine, available with both manual and AMT gearbox options. Additionally, a CNG fuel option is expected to be offered, maintaining engine options of the current model.
