New Tata Punch Facelift Launch In The Next 14-15 Months

The homegrown automaker, Tata Motors has recently launched the new Punch EV in the country. The new model has received several design and interior changes along with a set of new features. It is expected that similar changes are expected to be offered on the ICE version of the Punch. At the launch of the Punch EV, Tata Motors has confirmed that the Punch facelift will be launched in the country in the next 14-15 months, most probably in early 2025.

Similar to the updated Nexon, Harrier and Safari, the new Tata Punch facelift is expected to receive significant design changes. The new model is likely to share styling cues from the Nexon facelift. It will have an all-new front grille, which will be in-line with the new Tata SUVs. The sub-4 meter SUV is expected to get the vertically-stacked LED projector headlamps. The Tata Punch facelift is likely to receive new bumpers and new set of alloys. At the back, the SUV could get a revised tailgate with new LED tail-lights. The company reveals that the updated Punch will look different from the new Punch.ev.

The cabin is expected to receive significant changes in the form of revised dashboard layout with a bigger touchscreen infotainment unit and new instrument console. It is likely to get a full-TFT instrument console, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, new touch-panel for air conditioning, etc. The SUV won’t receive electronic parking brake and rear disc brakes, which are available in the electric Punch.

The new Tata Punch facelift is most likely to be offered with the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder NA petrol engine that powers the existing model. This engine is capable of producing 86PS and a peak torque of 113Nm. Transmission choices includes 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). It is also likely to get CNG version with Tata’s twin-tank system. The top-spec models could also receive the 1.2L turbo petrol engine that powers the Altroz i-Turbo.
