2 New Royal Enfield 650cc Bikes Spotted – Clear Images, Details

Royal Enfield is reportedly working on three new 650cc motorcycles including a 650cc cruiser, Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. All three models are currently in their testing phase and caught on camera multiple times. Recently, the test mules of the new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser and Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 were spotted testing without any camouflage. Here’re key details we have noticed.

New Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser

RE’s upcoming 650cc cruiser motorcycle will have lower riding seat with feet in forward position and measure longer than the Super Meteor. One can notice LED headlamps, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, upside down forks, forward-set footpegs and twin-cylinder exhaust. It will get chrome finish treatment. The bike will feature single front and rear disc brakes with the dual-channel ABS (antilock braking system). Similar to the conventional cruisers, the model might feature a 130-section rear tyres with smaller wheel than the front unit. Feature-wise, the bike will offer a semi-digital twin pod instrument cluster with a tripper navigation system.

New Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

The RE Super Meteor 650 will offer more upright riding position and carry the familiar design bits. The model is likely to be equipped with halogen headlamp, mid-set footpegs, wire-spoke wheels and the conventional telescopic fork front suspension. Its wheel and tyre sizes will be different from the 650cc cruiser. Unlike the 650cc cruiser, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will have sporty matt black finish. Engine Setup

Both upcoming RE 650cc bikes are likely to share engine with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Though, the motor could be calibrated to deliver different power and torque outputs. At present, the 648cc parallel-twin motor pushes out a peak power of 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed gearbox with revised gear ratios.
