2 New Royal Enfield 650cc Bikes Might Debut Next Month

Royal Enfield is working on three new 650cc motorcycles, which have been caught testing on camera multiple times. The company’s new 650cc bike range will include Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 and Royal Enfield Scrambler 650. Speculations are on rife that the RE Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 could be unveiled at the EICMA 2022. It will be the 79th edition of the premier motorcycle expo in Milan, Italy. The motorcycle event will be held from 8th to 13th November, 2022.

While the India launch timeline of the new RE 650cc bikes are yet to be revealed, both models are reported to go on sale sometime next year. Reports suggest that the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 might make their India debut at the Rider Mania 2022 that will take place from 18th to 20th November in Goa.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor Features

For power, the new RE 650 motorcycles will use the same 648cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that does duty in the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The motor, which has been boosted with fuel injection technology, delivers a claimed power of 47PS and 52Nm of torque. Both models will have a 6-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. Suspension duties will be performed the USD front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking power will come from the front and rear disc brakes. The dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) will come as standard.

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will feature retro-styled round headlamp, taillamp and turn indicators, a large windshield, chrome crash guards, alloy wheels with road-biased tyres, forward footpegs, a fatter rear fender, a low slung and a twin pipe exhaust. The RE Shotgun 650 will have a circular halogen headlamp and turn indicators, pea-shooter exhausts with black finish and split seats. Both bikes will come with Tripper turn-by-turn navigation and a semi-digital, twin-pod instrument cluster.
