The German luxury carmaker has rolled out the BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition in India at Rs 1.11 crore (ex-showroom). The special edition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic BMW M GmbH. The model has been brought via CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. Only 10 units of the special edition will be sold in India and it can be booked exclusively online. The company says that the “BMW X6 blends agile and versatile driving dynamics with a crisply expressive design language, enduring the extrovert presence of an edgy Sports Activity Coupe (SAC).
The BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition has been made available in two exterior colour options – M Carbon Black Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic. It features a significantly larger, high gloss black BMW Kidney grille with iconic M emblem and ’50 Yeas of M’ door projector inspired by the classic ‘BMW Motorsport’ logo.
Design elements such as 20-inch 740 M alloy wheels with orbit grey finish and M Sport brake callipers in Red high gloss fit, BMW Laserlight, wide L-shaped LED rear lights, a panorama glass roof and tailgate with automatic operation add more to its sporty appeal.
The special edition of the BMW X6 has a driver-focused BMW’s cockpit. It offers a HD 12.3-inch infotainment system with iDrive Controller and navigation with touch functionality, wireless charging, BMW gesture control, 4 zone AC and Harman Kardon Surround Sound system.
What further distinguish it are M leather steering wheel, sports seats, M Sports brakes, M Sport exhaust system, M aerodynamics package, adaptive M suspension, M Sport exhaust system and 20-inch M light alloy wheels Starspoke style. It has a storage space of 580-litres that can be expanded up to 1,530 litres with rear seats folded.
Under the hood, the BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition houses a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The motor pushes out a peak power of 335bhp and 450Nm of torque. It comes with AWD (all-wheel drive) system and multiple driving modes – PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
