2 New Cars, 2 Bikes Launching This Week – New Innova, 150cc Bajaj

We have witnessed numerous new car and bike launches in the first 9-10 months of 2022. While Maruti had launched the new Baleno, Alto K10, Brezza and the Grand Vitara, Toyota launched the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the new Glanza. Hyundai and Kia launched the new Tucson and the Carens MPV respectively in 2022. Mahindra had also launched the new-gen Scorpio N and the Scorpio Classic, while Tata introduced the new Nexon EV Max and the Tiago EV. As the year is getting closer to end, a new set of cars and bikes will be launched in the next few days. In this article, we talk about 2 new cars and 2 new bikes to be launched in our market before the end of this week.

1. Toyota Innova Hycross

Japanese automaker, Toyota will introduce the much-awaited new-gen Innova Hycross in our market on November 25, 2022. Official bookings will commence on the same day, while prices are likely to come out in January 2023. The new model is designed and developed on Toyota’s TNGA-C front-wheel-drive monocoque platform that underpins the global Corolla Cross. It will be offered with two engine options – a 2.0L naturally-aspirated petrol and a 2.0L petrol with a strong hybrid tech. The new model rides on 2850mm long wheelbase that’s 100mm longer than its predecessor.

In terms of features, the new Innova Hycross gets a large panoramic sunroof, ADAS tech, electric adjustable captain seats with ottoman function, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, paddle shifters, cooled seats, connected car tech, dual 10-inch screens for middle row passengers, electronic parking brake, auto hold function & drive modes.

2. Pravaig Defy

Pravaig Dynamics, the Bengaluru based EV startup will launch the new Pravaig Defy electric SUV in the country on November 25, 2022. It will be an electric sports SUV with a ground clearance of 234mm. The company has not revealed the exact battery capacity of the electric SUV, but it is claimed to offer 402bhp of power and 602Nm of torque. The electric SUV is claimed to achieve zero to 100kmph acceleration in just 4.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 210kmph. The new model is claimed to offer an electric range of over 500 kilometres. The new model will support fast charging and the battery can be charged from zero to 80 per cent in 30 minutes. In terms of features, the EV will have a large touchscreen infotainment system with multiple connectivity options, connected car tech, Devialet stereo system, an air purifier & USB Type-C charging ports, wireless phone charging, rear touchscreen, etc.

3. Ultraviolette F77 Electric Motorcycle

The much-awaited Ultraviolette F77 will finally go on sale in our market on November 24, 2022. The TVS backed brand has already started accepting pre-orders for the new motorcycle. The company had showcased the F77 electric motorcycle concept in 2019. The concept had removable battery packs; however, the production-spec model comes with a new battery pack that is fixed, larger and has more lithium-ion cells. It features a 10.5kWh battery pack, which is the largest battery size for any electric two-wheeler in India. It is claimed to offer 307km of range (Indian Driving Cycle) on a single charge. Compared to its concept, the new F77 is based on a completely re-designed chassis. It comes with USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear, and both of which are pre-load adjustable. The motorcycle will offer 3 ride modes – Eco, Sport and Insane. For braking, it gets a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

4. New Bajaj Pulsar 150

Bajaj Auto is all set to launch a new Pulsar motorcycle on November 22, 2022. The company has not revealed the name of the new motorcycle, but is most likely to be a new Bajaj Pulsar N150 that has been spotted testing multiple times. If reports are to be believed, the new motorcycle could be called the new Bajaj P150 where P refers to Pulsar. The new motorcycle will come with a new projector headlamp with ‘Wolf-eyed’ LED DRLs, the bulb-type indicators & LED tail-lamps. The spotted motorcycle had a two-piece seat, an integrated fender, chain cover, a license plate holder and new alloy wheels. It is likely to be powered by a 150cc engine that produce around 14PS and 13.25Nm of torque.
