2 Honda Cars Ready For Launch – Verna and Creta Rivals

Honda Cars India has announced two new model launches for the coming month. While the updated City sedan will hit showrooms on 2nd March, the company’s all-new mid-size SUV will debut by mid 2023. The Honda City facelift will witness minor changes inside and out. It will be put up against the new-generation Hyundai Verna that will go on sale by May 2023. The new Honda SUV will be an answer to the Hyundai Creta that’s reported to launch during this year’s festive season. Here’re some key details of the aforementioned upcoming Honda cars.

As mentioned above, the new City sedan will come with a few cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. The carmaker will expand the model lineup with addition of a new entry-level trim that will come with the petrol-hybrid powertrain. Currently, the hybrid setup is available with the top-spec trim that’s significantly pricier than the regular petrol variants. The 2023 Honda City facelift will be offered with a 126bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle hybrid and 121bhp, 1.5L petrol engine options. Transmissions on offer will be the same a 6-speed manual, a CVT and an eCVT (with hybrid only). Both motors are expected to be RDE and E20 compliant. More details here…

New Honda SUV Launch

The new Honda SUV will be built on the modified Amaze’s platform and share some of its design elements will be inspired by Honda’s global CR-V and HR-V SUVs. The model is likely to come with the Honda Sensing (ADAS – advanced driver assistance system) tech along with a new 10.2-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, 6 airbags, a 360 degree camera, electronic parking brake, hill launch assist and many more goodies.
