2023 Honda City Coming On 2nd March – Expected Prices

The new 2023 Honda City facelift is reported to hit showrooms on 2nd March and its test drives will start on 3rd March 2023. The carmaker might reveal its prices and details around the same time. Minor changes will be made inside and out, while the engine setup will be carried forward from the current model. The sedan will be made available in a new entry-level trim, packed with the petrol-hybrid powertrain.

Once launched, the updated City will continue to take on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the new-generation Hyundai Verna that’s due for May 2023. It will also compete against the Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia. The sedan’s current model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 11.87 lakh – Rs 15.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted version is reported to cost around Rs 1 lakh premium over the existing City.

2022 Honda City Hybrid Mileage

We all know that Honda’s e:HEV powertrain is currently reserved for the range-topping ZX trim. With the mid-life update, the hybrid setup will also be offered on the more affordable, new trim. The City e:HEV hybrid system includes an Atkinson Cycle 1.5L, 4-cylinder engine paired to two electric motors. It’s claimed to deliver a mileage of 26.5kmpl and 1,000km of range. The hybrid setup can be had with an eCVT gearbox. Read – Honda’s Hyundai Creta Rival to Debut In Mid 2023

The City hybrid has a battery pack fitted in the boot and it has been prioritized electric-only mode in start/stop conditions. It delivers a peak power of 126bhp and 253Nm of torque. The new 2023 Honda City facelift will also be available with the 1.5L petrol motor that’s good enough for 121bhp. There will be two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. Both petrol and hybrid powertrains are likely to meet the RDE norms that will come into effect in April 2023. The new City might also be E20 fuel compliant.
