Soon-to-be-launched Tata Cars In India

Tata Motors had showcased several new exciting models & concepts including the Harrier EV, Sierra, Curvv Concept & the Avinya EV at the 2023 Auto Expo. However, the company has also revealed special & different versions of its existing line-up. These models are likely to be launched by festive season, before Diwali.

Punch CNG

Punch CNG Launch

Tata Motors had showcased the CNG version of the Punch micro SUV, which is scheduled to be launched by June 2023. The Tata Punch will be the first SUV in the category to have the CNG powertrain as a factory fitted option. It is powered by a 1.2L petrol engine with the Dyna-pro technology, featuring two factory-fitted CNGs in the boot. The powertrain produces 77PS and 97Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It has first-in segment single advance ECU, direct start in CNG and auto switch between fuels. In terms of features, the Tata Punch CNG gets six airbags, electric sunroof, projector headlamps with signature LED DRLs, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, auto AC, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, etc.

Not just Punch CNG, Tata Motors had also showcased the CNG version of the Altroz hatchback at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new model is expected to be launched by June 2023. It also shares the engine & twin-cylinder tech with the Punch CNG. It gets a voice activated electric sunroof, 16-inch dual-tone alloys, leatherette seats, automatic AC with rear AC vents, rear seat armrest and others.

Updated Safari & Harrier

New Tata Safari Dark Edition

Tata Motors is all set to launch the updated Harrier & Safari in the country by March 2023. Adding to it, the company will also launch the new Harrier & Safari Red Dark Editions which were unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new editions will be the new top-end variants in their respective line-up. In terms of features, the new Harrier & Safari Dark Editions come with red treatment on outside and inside. The Safari Dark Edition features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital TFT instrument console, ventilated captain seats on both rows, 360 degree surround view system, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat with Memory & Welcome function, powered co-driver seat with boss mode & mood lighting in the sunroof.

The Harrier Red Dark Edition shares most of the features with the Safari Red. It has ventilated driver & co-driver seats, & wireless charger and C-type charging ports. Both SUVs also get ADAS tech with features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Door Open Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert and High Beam Assist. However, both miss out on adaptive cruise control. Powering the new RED Dark editions is a 170bhp, 2.0L turbo diesel engine with 6MT or 6AT.

Tata Motors will launch the new sportier Altroz Racer Edition in the country by festive season 2023. It comes with a more powerful engine, new features and cosmetic design upgrades. The new model will be positioned against the Hyundai i20 N Line. It is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 120PS at 5500rpm and a peak torque of 170Nm between 1750rpm and 4000rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. In terms of features, the Altroz Racer gets 6 airbags, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, 7-inch digital driver’s display, electric sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, leatherette sets with red & white racing stripes, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, etc.

Tiago EV Blitz

Tata Motors will also launch a sportier looking version of the electric Tiago, which is called the Tata Tiago EV Blitz. The new model will come with cosmetic enhancements over the regular model. The vehicle gets all-black trim in the closed-off grille & under the headlmps, and gloss black finish Y-shaped motifs in the air-dam. The pronounced wheel arches, ORVMs and rear spoiler also have gloss black finish. The Tiago EV Blitz name is embossed on the front grille, front doors & tailgate. Inside the cabin, the Blitz get head restraints with Blue bold motif stitch. The Tata Tiago EV Blitz has been painted in White colour.
