10 Top-Selling SUVs In July – Creta Leads the Chart

Indian automobile sales have been in slow mode over the past few months, thanks to the lockdown and ongoing pandemic. Though, the sales report of the July 2020 has showed the signs of revival. Key Observations:

The second-generation Hyundai Creta continued to rule the SUV segment with total sales of 11,549 units. In the same month last year, the South Korean carmaker sold just 6,585 units of the previous generation Creta.

The second spot was grabbed by the Kia Seltos that recently received a mid-life update with 20 new features. There is a difference of around 3,000 units when compared to the new Hyundai Creta.

Vitara Brezza Facelift Review

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza stood at third position with a total sales of 7,807 units. Despite having some really capable competitors in the sub-4 meter SUV segment, the Vitara Brezza continued to dominate the space.

Selling a total of 6,734 units in the last month, the Hyundai Venue became the fourth top-selling SUV and second best-selling subcompact SUV in the country. The carmaker recently introduced iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) gearbox equipped SX and SX (O) variants at Rs 8.32 lakh and Rs 11.21 lakh respectively.

Mahindra Bolero registered a total sales of 4,360 units last month. The SUV has huge demand in rural and semi-urban markets.  

Best Mileage SUVs

The Tata Nexon, Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra XUV300 stood at number six, seven and eight with sales of 4,327 units, 3,135 units, and 2,519 units respectively. Ford India managed to sell 2,438 units of the EcoSport in the month of July.

Despite the boycott China movement, MG Motor India witnessed 40% growth with sales of 2,105 units against 1,508 units of July last year.
