German luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz has introduced the diesel version of the C-Class luxury sedan in the Indian car market. The C220 CDI is available in two variants- Style and Avantgarde. The vehicle comes as a CBU import and the prices for the C-Class diesel start at Rs. 39.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Engine Specifications
It is powered by a 2143cc, in-line four-cylinder diesel engine, paired to a 7G-Tronic 7-Speed automatic gearbox, which is good for 167.6bhp between 3000 to 4200rpm and a peak torque of 40.7kgm between 1400 to 2800rpm.

Mercedes-Benz India has also introduced the locally assembled C-Class petrol, which is priced at Rs. 40.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This variant misses out on features like ambient lighting and illuminated door sills; however, the maker has given newly designed alloy wheels and new interior trim.
