Maruti Suzuki will launch the much-awaited SX4 S-Cross crossover in April this year. Unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show, the crossover was scheduled to go on sale in January 2015. Instead of upright stance, the S-Cross gets more crossover type styling. The crossover will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. MSI is likely to introduce both 2WD and ‘Allgrip’ all-wheel drive system of the car in the country. The crossover features high ground clearance, black plastic cladding, metal scuff plates and roof rails to add some sporty character to it. The top-spec model features LED daytime running lamps, automatic air conditioning, leather seats and leather wrapped multi-functional steering wheel.

The SX4 S-Cross will be available in two engine options- 1.6-litre 4-cylinder diesel that is good for 118bhp and 320Nm of torque and the 1.6-litre petrol motor rated at 120bhp and 156Nm. Both engines will be coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Suzuki YRA premium hatchback will be a global product, which is also known as iK-2 concept. The concept will make its world premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, but in a concept form. It will compete against the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and the upcoming Honda Jazz. The hatchback will be offered in both petrol and diesel engines- 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engine. The company might also introduce the new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit.
