This diesel engined Honda City has been claimed to be returning a whooping 26kmpl of mileage (ARAI certified), making it the most fuel efficient car of the country so far. The diesel engine that powers the new Honda City is the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC mill found under the company’s first diesel vehicle Honda Amaze. The petrol model of the car continues to come in 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol mill in both manual and CVT automatic transmission gearbox. The petrol versions too impress with their fuel economy figures. While the petrol manual returns 17.8kmpl, the CVT automatic gearbox powered petrol version produces 17.9kmpl.
