Maruti Suzuki’s much-awaited all-new Brezza compact SUV is all set to hit roads in coming weeks. Prices of the new model are reported to be announced by the end of June 2022. Ahead of its official arrival, the company has started dispatching the new 2022 Maruti Brezza to its Arena dealerships across the nation.
In fact, select dealers have already started taking bookings for the vehicle. The SUV’s second-generation model will have more features and better styling along with the updated powertrain.
First talking about features, the new Brezza will have a larger touchscreen infotainment system with the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The unit is likely to be borrowed from the new Baleno that comes with a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ info system supporting smartwatch connectivity and Amazon Alexa. The SUV will also source a Head-Up Display (HUD) and a 360 degree camera from its hatchback sibling.
The kit will include wireless phone charger, Suzuki Connect app, a sunroof (for the higher trims), revised dashboard and more. For safety purpose, the Maruti Brezza 2022 is likely to offer 6 airbags (for the top-end variants), tyre pressure monitoring system and hill hold assist.
Visually, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will carry slightly more angular and sportier design elements than the existing one. The front end will be adorned by a new grille, LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, tweaked bumper and fog lamp assembly. The newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels with dual-tone finish, wider body cladding and door side moulding will give it a refreshing look.
At the back, the new Brezza will feature the revised LED taillamps and ‘Brezza’ badging on the boot lid. The latest spy images confirm that the Maruti Brezza 2022 model lineup will come in new colour schemes including Green shade.
Power system of the 2022 Maruti Brezza will include the updated 1.2L K15C petrol engine, borrowed from the new Ertiga. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. Its power and torque outputs stand at 102bhp and 136.8Nm respectively. With the new powertrain, the Brezza will offer more fuel efficiency than the current generation. The SUV model lineup could also be offered with the CNG fuel option.
