2020 Hyundai Verna Vs Old – Fuel Efficiency (Mileage)
2020 Hyundai Verna facelift was recently launched in the country at a starting price of Rs 9.31 lakh. The petrol variants of the sedan are made available in the price range of Rs 9.31 lakh – Rs 13.99 lakh, while diesel models are priced from Rs 10.66 lakh to Rs 15.10 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
The sedan’s updated version can be had with 5 engine-gearbox combinations (1.5L petrol with 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox, 1.0L turbo-petrol with a 7-speed DCT gearbox and 1.5L diesel with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox).

Now, the ARAI-certified mileage figures of the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift have been revealed. The 1.5L NA petrol engine returns a claimed fuel economy of 17.7kmpl with manual gearbox and 18.45kmpl with CVT automatic transmission.
The Verna’s BS4 1.6L petrol motor was claimed to deliver mileage between 17.4kmpl (MT) – 15.9kmpl (AT). That means, the BS6 petrol manual and automatic versions are around .3kmpl and 2.55kmpl respectively more frugal than the old BS4 1.6L petrol manual and automatic variants. The all-new turbo-petrol powertrain delivers an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.2kmpl. The 2020 Hyundai Verna diesel promises fuel efficiency of 25kmpl with a manual gearbox and 21.3kmpl with an automatic transmission.
