Hyundai to Launch 4 New Cars in the Next 4 Months

Korean automaker, Hyundai is getting aggressive with its product strategy for the competitive Indian auto market. The brand is readying 4 new models for the market, which are scheduled to be launched before April 2020. The first all-new Hyundai car to go on sale in our market is the Aura sub-4 meter sedan. Scheduled to be launched in January 2020, the new Hyundai Aura will be the brand’s new sub-4 meter sedan to take on the likes of Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze.

The new Hyundai Aura will be sold alongside the Xcent sedan. It will be based on the new Grand i10 Nios and will come with BSVI compliant 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. Both manual and AMT versions will be on offer. The new model will come equipped with a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. It will offer improved legroom and shoulder space for the rear occupants.

2020 Hyundai Verna Specs

The Korean brand will also launch the facelift version of the Verna sedan, which has recently been launched in the Chinese market. The new Verna has received significant changes inside and out. Adding to it, the mid-sized sedan gets major updates under the hood as well. It will receive a new 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is capable of producing 115bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The India-spec Hyundai Verna facelift will be powered by a new 1.5-litre petrol engine, which will produce 115bhp of power and 144Nm of torque. Adding to it, the new engine will be coupled to a 48V hybrid system.

The company will showcase the new generation Creta and the i20 hatchback at the Auto Expo 2020. Both the models are expected to be launched in February-March 2020, before BSVI norms in April 2020. The new generation Hyundai Creta will receive all-new design and feature-loaded cabin. It will be powered by newly developed 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The SUV will also receive the brand’s new Bluelink connected car technology.

The next-gen Hyundai i20 has already been spotted testing in India as well as on foreign soil. The new model receives significant design changes, new interior and new engine options. It will grow in size to offer improved legroom and shoulder space for rear occupants. The hatchback will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol. The vehicle could also receive a new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the Venue compact SUV.
