BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart Details Leaked; Reaches Dealerships
Hero MotorCorp has started shipping the BS6-compliant version of the Splendor iSmart ahead of its launch. Prior to that, the engine details of the commuter motorcycle have been leaked on the web.
According to the leaked scan, the 2019 BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart will come with a 113.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine boosted with the fuel injection (FI) technology.
With BS6-ready engine, the 2019 Hero Splendor iSmart will deliver a maximum power of 9.15bhp at 7,500rpm, which is slightly less than the BS4-compliant model. The latter one with a 109.15 engine pushes out a peak power of 9.5bhp. Read – Hero Dash Electric Scooter Price & Details
Similar to the old model, the 2019 BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart will be benefited with the i3S technology. It’s an Idle-stop-start system that automatically turns off the engine when at idle and ensures better fuel economy.
Expected to launch by the end of 2019, the BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart will be made available in two variants – Drum and front Disc. Prices of the BS6-ready version of the bike will be around 10-15% premium than the BS4-compliant model. The latter one costs Rs 56,280 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the Drum brake variant, the Splendor iSmart disc brake model will be around 10mm wider and carry an extra 1 kg of weight. Dimensionally, however, both variants will be the same. It will measure 2048mm in length, 714mm in width and 1110 in height along with a 1270mm of wheelbase.
