New Honda Civic India Launch In March 2019
In India, the new Honda Civic will be brought via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route.
The new-generation Honda Civic sedan is all set to hit Indian roads in March, 2019. In India, the luxury sedan will be put up against the Toyota Corolla, Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra. It will be brought via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route and then assembled at the company’s plant. Prices of the new Honda Civic 2019 are estimated to fall in the range of Rs 15 lakh – Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Just so you know, the Honda Civic was discontinued in India in 2013 due to its poor sales. The sedan, which is currently in its 10th generation, made its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo. Interestingly, the new Honda Civic 2019 will be made available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version will make use of a 1.8L i-VTEC motor generating power worth 140bhp and 174Nm of torque. While the Civic petrol will come with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission options, the diesel version is likely to get manual gearbox only. Sporting fastback-like design, the new Honda Civic 2019 looks quite refreshing than the old model. Some of its key features include new LED headlamps with DRLs, large 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillamps, high boot lid, revised rear bumper, dual-tone dashboard and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
