Honda Two-Wheeler Achieves 1 Crore Sales Milestone In Western Region

HMSI claims that the nearly every second buyer in Western region is purchasing a Honda two-wheeler.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has crossed 1 crore unit cumulative sales in the Western region including Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra since its inception in 2001. The Japanese two-wheeler maker took 14 years to achieve the first 50 lakh customers in these three states, but the next 50 lakh customers were reached in just three years.

The company claims that the nearly every second buyer in Western region is purchasing a Honda two-wheeler. Interestingly, the major sales lead comes from Honda scooters. Just so you know, Honda has the world’s largest scooter only production facility in Vithalapur, Gujarat. HMSI claims that Honda has been the top choice among two-wheeler buyers in West region with 47 per cent of market share in the two-wheeler space. The Honda Activa isn’t only the company’s best-selling two-wheeler, but its India’s largest selling scooter as well. Recently, the Japanese two-wheeler maker introduced the updated model of its three popular scooters – the Activa-i, the Activa 125 and the Navi mini scooter.
