TVS Motor Company has silently increased the prices of its flagship motorcycle, Apache RR 310 in India by Rs 8,000. The TVS Apache RR 310 is the first-ever fully faired motorcycle from the Chennai-based bikemaker. Launched in December 2017, the bike was priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). After the price hike, it will cost Rs 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). One must note that the price of the bike remains unchanged in Kerala – i.e. Rs 1.99 lakh.
At the heart the TVS Apache RR 310 features a 312.2cc, single-cylinder DOHC engine with fuel injection technology. This liquid-cooled motor can do 0-100kmph in 7.17 seconds with a top speed of 160kmph. It is matched with a 6-speed gearbox. The power and troque outputs stand at 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm respectively. Atrributes such as best-in-class power-to-weight ratio, KYB-sourced upside down front forks and Michelin radial tyres make the Apache RR 310 the most powerful and fastest bike in its league. It’s also the first-ever bike from TVS to feature a reverse inclined engine. The Apache RR 310 is the production derivative of the Akula 310 concept that was previewed at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2016. The bike sits on trellis frame chassis and composed of lightweight carbon fibre components.
