Hyundai will launch the Verna facelift in the first quarter of 2015. The vehicle has been spotted several times during its test rounds on India roads. This time, the completely undisguised Verna facelift has been caught on the Pune bypass. The spotted model was the 1.6 EX variant.
The updated Verna facelift features a new front fascia with new grille complemented by restyled headlamps that now house projectors. The new front bumper gets newly styled fog lamps with LED strips surrounding them. At the back, the vehicle sports redesigned tail lamps which come with integrated LEDs. The new rear bumper gets redesigned integrated reflectors.
The flared wheel arches of the Verna facelift have been fitted to newly designed alloy wheels. The interiors of the sedan largely resemble the current generation model. However, the company might add some more features to keep things fresh in the market.
Under the hood, the Verna facelift is likely to remain unchanged. Under the bonnet, the Verna facelift is expected to get the same powertrains. While the gasoline version would get the same 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre engines, the oil burner has- a 1.4-litre CRDi and a 1.6-litre CRDi. A six speed manual transmission would be offered as standard. It is expected that the automatic gearbox would be a six-speed gearbox instead of 4-speed.
