Honda HR-V aka Vezel crossover unveiled- European Spec

Japanese car manufacturer Honda had officially released the first images of the European version of its small SUV- HR-V ahead of its world premiere at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October. The HR-V is basically a re-badged version of the Vezel crossover, and will enter into Europe’s fastest-growing small SUV segment. [Also Read- Honda HR-V coming to India?]

The new Honda HR-V exterior design shows a perfect combination of a coupe, with sharp, dynamic lines that link the sleek upper body with the stable and planted lower body. The vehicle gets aggressive creases running across the length which further enhances the overall styling of the crossover.

The HR-V features a centre fuel tank location to create spacious and adaptable small SUV cabins. It is equipped with Honda’s Magic seats in which, the second row seats completely flat foldable to offer added cargo space. The HR-V crossover will go on sale in the UK during the summer of 2015. Leon Brannan, Head of Car said “The HR-V is a very welcome addition to our current model lineup, it is a very popular and growing market segment that appeals to both retail and corporate customers.“

Dimensionally, the European-spec crossover measures 4,295 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width, 1,605 mm in height and it has a large wheelbase of 2,610mm. The Honda HR-V is likely to get new turbocharged i-VTEC petrol engines- a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder motor. It will also expect to get 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel motor.
