The iconic Yezdi motorcycle brand returns to India with the launch of three new models – Adventure, Scrambler and Roadster. All models have been offered in multiple colours, priced from Rs 1.98 lakh to Rs 2.18 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Bookings have been commenced at a token of Rs 5,000 (fully refundable). Deliveries will also be made from today. The new Yezdi Roadster is available in two themes (Dark and Chrome) and five colour options – Smoke Grey, Steel Blue, Hunter Green, Gallant Grey and Sin Silver.
The Roadster Smoke Grey is the most affordable Yezdi bike that costs Rs 1.98 lakh. While the Steel Blue and Hunter Green models are priced at Rs 2.02 lakh, the Gallant Grey and Sin Silver are available at Rs 2.06 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. The bike said to “endowed with sheer road presence and muscular dimensions” and has “a perfect blend of classic style and modern touches”.
Based on the dual cradle chassis, the Yezdi Roadster sources its power from a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering a peak power of 29.7PS at 7300rom and 29Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It’s claimed to offer great performance in the city and on the highways. Similar to the Scrambler, the Roadster features front and rear disc brakes with floating caliper and dual-channel ABS. The bike has a 1440mm long wheelbase and a ground clearance of 175mm. Its fuel tank capacity is similar to the Scrambler – i.e. 12.5 litres.
Unlike the Scrambler that has ribbed pattern seat, the Yezdi Roadster offers a single-piece flat seat with a pillion cowl and a wide rear fender. Design elements such as circular headlamp and rear view mirrors, a teardrop fuel tank, fork gaiters and engine radiator shrouds give it neo-retro look. It has black alloy wheels and dual exhausts. The bike comes with a fully digital LED instrument console with multiple features, USB and Type C charging ports, turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
