Classic Legends has re-introduced the Yezdi brand in the country with the launch of three new bikes, namely, Adventure, Scrambler and Roadster. Bookings and deliveries of the motorcycles have already been commenced across the nation. Interested buyers can take test rides. The new Yezdi bikes will be retailed through brand’s existing dealership network.
Talking about the Yezdi Scrambler, the model has been offered in six colour schemes – Fire Orange, Yelling Yellow, Outlaw Olive, Rebel Red (dual-tone), Mean Green (dual-tone) and Midnight Blue (dual-tone). The Orange colour version has been priced at Rs 2.04 lakh, while the Yellow and Olive shades cost Rs 2.06 lakh. Priced at Rs 2.10 lakh, the dual-tone models are the most expensive ones.
The Scrambler carries neo-retro design elements such as circular LED headlamp and rear view mirrors, a teardrop shaped fuel tank and twin exhausts. It also features on/off road tyres, fork gaiters, engine radiator, a single-piece seat with ribbed pattern, a luggage mounting rack and a raised tail section with split grab rails. The bike offers a digital speedometer with several features.
For power, the new Yezdi Scrambler uses the 334cc, single-cylinder DOHC engine delivering a maximum power of 29.1PS at 8,000rpm and 28.2Nm at 6780rpm. The company says that the bike has a flat torque curve ensuring a “meaty torque speed across the rev range”. It has been equipped with telescopic forks at the front and gas charged twin shocks at the rear.
With a wheelbase of 1403mm, the Scrambler is claimed to offer “confident handling across terrains”. The bike derives its stopping power from front and rear disc brakes. It gets Continental dual-channel ABS with three switchable modes – Road, Rain and Off-road. The new Yezdi bike underpins the double cradle chassis and rides on 100/90-19” front and 140/70-17” rear tyres. It has fuel tank capacity of 12.5 litres and seat height of 800mm.
