Yezdi Bike India Launch Confirmed Via Official Teaser – Key Details

Classic Legends had introduced the iconic Jawa motorcycle brand in November 2018 in the country. Now, the company is getting ready to revive Yezdi with the new-generation models in coming months. We have already seen the test mules of the upcoming Yezdi bikes in multiple spy images and videos. Recently, the two-wheeler maker confirmed the brand’s comeback via an official teaser. Launch date of the new Yezdi bike, however, is yet to be announced by the company. Reports suggest that the model might debut in the month of November.

The first model to roll out under the Yezdi brand is likely to be the Roadking scrambler and Roadking adventure. Just so you know, the company trademarked Yezdi Roadking nameplate in India. It will be retro-classic bike that’s likely to share its platform and engine with the Jawa motorcycles. Though, its design and styling will be completely different from Jawas. The spy images reveal that the new Yezdi bike will carry a newly-designed circular headlamp, dual-tone fuel tank with embossed ‘Legendary Yezdi’ badging, raised front fender, a round LED taillamp and old-school exhausts.

There will be an integrated tyre hugger holding the number plate. The Yezdi Roadking adventure will feature dedicated front and rear racks. Some of its other key elements will include a large windscreen, spoke wheels, dual front fenders, crash guard for engine and radiator and split seats. The wide and raised handlebars and centrally positioned footpegs are likely to provide comfortable riding position. The new Yezdi bike will have a full digital instrument console.

For power, the Yezdi Roadking will use the 293cc, single-cylinder engine that pushes out a peak power of 27.3PS and 27.02Nm of torque. It’s the same motor that does duty in the Jawa motorcycles. The Yezdi Roadking Adventure will source its engine from the Jawa Perak that comes with the 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit. Its power and torque figures stand at 30.64PS and 32.74Nm respectively.
