The new 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift has finally made its world debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2021. The SUV’s updated model carries more aggressive design language along with the up-market interior. Engine setup of the India-spec Creta is likely to remain unchanged. Here’re the key changes made to the new Creta SUV.

New Upcoming Cars, SUVs

Similar to the new-gen Tucson, the Creta facelift follows Hyundai’s new Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy. In fact, its front end seems heavily inspired by its bigger sibling. The Hyundai Creta 2022 features a new parametric jewel pattern grille that integrates LED DRLs. The new rectangular shaped LED headlamps, revised bumper with slimmer air inlet, a silver coloured faux skid plate and newly-designed fog lamp assembly further enhance its sportier looks. Save for the new, dual-tone alloy wheels, the side profile remains unchanged. Unlike the current model, the LED taillamps of the new Creta misses out on the connecting strip that runs across the width of the tailgate.  Read – Key Details of 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift

New 2022 Hyundai Creta Interior

While the interior layout of the new Hyundai Creta 2022 remains intact, it gets a bunch of new features. The SUV comes with the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that might also be offered on the India-spec model. What add more value to its interior are the new digital driver’s display, updated BlueLink connected car technology and a 360 degree camera. On the safety front, the Creta facelift offers stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilization and stole vehicle tracking systems.

New 2022 Hyundai Creta Engine

In Indonesia, the new Hyundai Creta facelift will be offered with a 1.5L, naturally aspirated petrol engine. The motor has been tuned for producing a peak power of 114bhp and 142Nm of torque. The India-spec version, as mentioned above, will continue to come with the 1.4L GDI turbo petrol (138bhp/242Nm) and 1.5L CRDi diesel (114bhp/250Nm) engine options. Transmission options will also be similar to the existing model.

While the automaker hasn’t yet revealed its official launch timeline, the SUV’s updated model is reported to hit Indian shores in the second half of 2022. It will be the second major product launch from the South Korean automaker in India. The first one will be a new compact MPV that might come in early 2022. The model is rumoured to be named Hyundai Stargazer.

Hyundai Creta Facelift Price

Compared to the exciting model, the updated one is expected to be slightly expensive. At present, the SUV model lineup comes in the price range of Rs 10.16 lakh – Rs 17.87 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
