While its torque output remains unchanged, the power figure has declined by 0.2bhp. Now, the motor produces a peak power of 18.4PS. Similar to the global-spec R15 V3, the 2022 Yamaha R15 4 gets USD fork at the front axle.
The new Yamaha R15M comes with the lighter aluminum swingarm. It has been exclusively offered with the R15M-inspired Silver and Black colour scheme with bright Blue highlights. What further differentiate the new Yamaha R15M from the Racing Blue livery are the golden brake calipers, top caps for the fork, a grey heat shield for the exhaust, a grey swingarm, a premium seat and 3D logos.
Significant design changes have been made to the bike. The 2021 Yamaha R15 V4 and R15M feature bi-functional LED headlamp with LED DRLs that seems inspired by R7. The redesigned fairing and fuel tank look more aerodynamic. Other key updates include a cast aluminum swingarm, redesigned rear quarter and a new heat shield for the exhaust.
While the new Yamaha R15M and Racing Blue colour variant are exclusively offered with the new quickshifter and reaction control system, the standard variants come with the optional quickershifter. On the feature front, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 offers a new full-digital instrument console with two display modes and Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, a side sand engine cut off switch.
