Volkswagen Virtus, Taigun Get More Affordable Deep Black Colour Variants

Volkswagen has expanded the color options for its Virtus sedan and Taigun SUV 1.0L Topline variants, introducing the Deep Black Pearl hue. The Topline variants of the Virtus in the new Deep Black Pearl color are priced at Rs 15.22 lakh for the manual version and Rs 16.47 lakh for the automatic version, both ex-showroom. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Taigun Topline with Deep Black Pearl is offered at Rs 16.03 lakh and Rs 17.60 lakh for the manual and automatic versions, respectively.

Comparatively, the new Deep Black Pearl variants command a slightly higher price than their regular Topline counterparts. For the Virtus Topline Deep Black Pearl variants, buyers will need to pay an additional Rs 32,000 for the manual version and Rs 27,000 for the automatic version. Similarly, the VW Taigun Topline Deep Black Pearl variants come at a premium, with an extra cost of nearly Rs 19,000 for the manual version and Rs 25,000 for the automatic version.

The Topline trim for both models includes several additional features such as a single-pane sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, powered front seats, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, illuminated footwell, cruise control, electronic stability control, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, six airbags, a rearview camera, and more.

No other changes have been made to the specified variants. Both the Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun are equipped with the 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol engines, generating 115PS with 178Nm and 150PS with 250Nm, respectively. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0L engine, while the 1.5L engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
