Volkswagen Taigun Exclusive Customer Previews Begin Ahead of Launch

In order to enable customers to experience the Volkswagen Taigun, the German automaker has started exclusive previews across 8 major cities in the country. The first phase will begin in Bengaluru (on 21st and 22nd August), followed by Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chandigarh over weekends. Customers will be able to experience the SUV first hand along with brand’s recently activated 360 degree visualizer to view its features in their comfort zone via connected devices. The company ensures that all necessary Covid precautions are being taken for the safety of its customers and employees.

The carmaker has already confirmed that the VW Taigun will hit roads in the 3rd week of September, 2021. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said that the VW Taigun has been designed to meet the requirements of Indian market. The company is working to strengthen its network presence along with implementation of its new brand design and logo across its dealerships over the last two months.

The Volkswagen Taigun SUV will come with the 1.0L, 3-cylinder TSI petrol and 1.5L, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engines delivering power worth 113bhp with 175Nm and 148bhp with 250Nm respectively. The model lineup will be available with three gearbox options – 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG automatic. The upcoming VW SUV measures 4221mm in length, 1760mm in width and 1612mm in height. It sits on the segment’s longest wheelbase of 2651mm. It has a grey dashboard with integrated touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For entertainment purpose, there is a 6-speaker audio system with subwoofer. The list of features also includes a new flat bottom steering wheel, a single-pane sunroof, touch-based climate control, cruise control, parking sensors with a camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and electronic stability control.
