Launched in September 2021, the Volkswagen Taigun has completed one successful year in the Indian market. In order to commemorate the occasion, the company has rolled out the first Anniversary Edition of the SUV. It’s a limited edition that will be available online via its official website and across all Volkswagen dealerships in the country. The Volkswagen Taigun 1st Anniversary Edition has been offered in Dynamic Line and Topline trims
The SUV’s limited edition can be had with the 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that pushes out a peak power of 115bhp and 175Nm of torque. The motor comes with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. Just so you know, the SUV model lineup is also available with the 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine with both manual and automatic (7-speed DCT) gearbox.
The Volkswagen Taigun 1st Anniversary Edition comes in a new Rising Blue coour along with the existing Wild Cherry and Curcuma Yellow shades. The model gets a few cosmetic enhancements over the regular version. On the exterior, the Taigun Anniversary Edition has special ‘1st Anniversary’ badging. It has high lux fog lamps, black ORVM caps, body-coloured door trim, black roof foil, black C pillar graphics, door-edge protector, window visors and aluminium pedals.
Similar to the regular Topline trim, the Taigun Anniversary Edition comes with the leatherette seat upholstery, ventilated front seats with leather inserts, an 8-inch fully digital instrument cluster, auto dimming rear view mirror, Rave Glossy and Trama pattern décor inserts, push button start/stop, an electric sunroof, 3D chrome step grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, chrome garnish on window bottom line, auto headlamp chrome applique on door handles, 17-inch ‘Cassino’ alloy wheels and more.
On the safety front, the Volkswagen Taigun offers six airbags, electronic stability control (standard across all trims), anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), hill-hold control, parking camera, tyre pressure deflation warning and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
