The new 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross facelift has been launched in the Indian market. The updated model lineup comes in Shine, which is priced at Rs 36.67 lakh. One must note that the aforementioned price is introductory, ex-showroom Delhi. Similar to the previous version, the new one will be brought in via the SKD (semi-knocked-down) route.
A few noticeable changes have been made to its exterior and interior, while the engine setup remains intact. The new C5 Aircross is available in 4 colour options – the new Eclipse Blue, Pearl White, Perla Nera Black and Cumulus Grey.

As mentioned above, the SUV uses the same 2.0L diesel engine that’s good for 177bhp and 400Nm. Transmission duties are done by an 8-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. It continues to offer multiple drive modes and traction modes. With the same powertrain, the new Citroen C5 Aircross offers fuel efficiency of 18.6kmpl.
Talking about the exterior, the new 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross has ditched the split headlamp setup for the more conventional single-piece wraparound units. The headlamp clusters have LED DRLs lining up with the front grille. In fact, the signature Citroen chevron logo looks different. Its front bumper has air dam with large insert vents enhancing its aerodynamics. While the new C5 Aircross gets newly-designed alloy wheels, its side cladding with block-like pattern remains unchanged. At the rear, there is updated taillamp clusters featuring rectangular lighting elements and darkened finish.
One of the major updates inside the cabin comes in the form of a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The rectangular air con vents replaced the old two-piece cubed units. It gets revised switchgears, wireless charging and more USB ports. In order to enhance its comfort quotient, the carmaker has offered the front seats with 15mm additional padding, heating and cooling functions.
Citroen has confirmed that it will expand its dealership network to 20 touchpoints in India across 19 cities in near future.
