German automaker, Volkswagen has launched the Red & White special editions of the Polo and Vento in the Indian market. Except for the new dual-tone paint schemes, the special editions have not received any design changes or new features. The VW Polo and Vento Red & White editions are available at an introductory price of Rs 9.19 lakh and Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
Commenting on the new special editions, Volkswagen India’s marketing team said that Red colour represents fun-to-drive sporty characteristics while White shows sophistication. The VW Vento Red & White edition comes with contrasting black roof and outside rear view mirrors and white body paint. “Red & White badge” is added on the front fender, while new body graphics offered on the doors. The VW polo special edition features red colour with white roof and ORVMs.

Based on the Highline AT variants, the new VW Polo and Vento Red & White special editions are powered by a BSVI-compliant 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. Paired to a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox, the new turbocharged engine produces 108bhp of power and 175Nm of torque. The Polo AT is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 16.47kmpl, while the Vento returns 16.35kmpl.
The Red & White special editions will be offered in 3 colour options – Flash Red, Sunset Red and Candy White. Interested buyers can pre-book the new special editions online or by visiting nearest Volkswagen dealership.
